Pilton School is ready for May Day in the early 1930s

Pilton School is ready for May Day in the early 1930s /media/flashcomm?action=mediaview&context=normal&id=758
Description:

This photograph from Eric Stevens shows the children of Pilton School gathered on the steps of a house, possibly Pilton Abbey, possibly for a May Day event in the very early 1930s. Eric Stevens is the boy with the hoop on the left hand side. Other children at the school who are probably in the picture are Beryl Woolacott, Time Cook, David Richards, Phyllis Huxtable, Mary Brayley, John Parsons and Dorothy Chugg. The ruffs were all made by Eric's mother Lilian Mabel Stevens
Many thanks to Eric Stevens for this photograph.
