Putting the Pilton world to rights in the 1970s and 1980s on a bench facing Lower Raleigh Road across the New (North) Road are (left to right):

Arthur Thorne (lived at Athelstan House, 123, Pilton Street, died 1988, age 66), Steve Norman (lived at 12 Carrington Terrace, died 1996, age 87), Jack Gwilliam (lived at 12 Yeo Vale Road, died 1984) and, it was thought, Ike Shaddick (lived in Lower Raleigh - Ruby Featherstone's father). However, recent evidence suggests it is not Ike Shaddick after all, and we are waiting for confirmation of who it really is!
