This photograph, which dates from around the end of 19th century, is of Charles Pearce Senior, born 1858, who lived in Pilton House until his death in 1945 . Charles Pearce was a Churchwarden of St Mary's Church, a Justice of the Peace and Mayor of Barnstaple. He is buried in Pilton Churchyard.
