Pilton Stores, at 24 Pilton Street, has closed after more than 100 years as a grocery shop and delicatessen. Owners Heather (centre with flowers) and Geoff Dwyer (unfortunately away) retired on 12 January 2013 after running the shop for 23 years. This photograph shows the large group of Pilton residents which gathered just before the final close to present Heather with a gift and record the end of an era for the community of Pilton - its village stores and one of the focal points of the community.
