Living on Pilton Quay in the 1950s : 5

Living on Pilton Quay in the 1950s : 5 /media/flashcomm?action=mediaview&context=normal&id=828
Description:

Keith Laity has sent The Pilton Story this classic 50’s picture showing playmates in Reform Street. They are, left to right, seated Martin Sanders, Ian Cox and Robert Laity; seated in the cart is Keith Laity. It was taken in July 1956. He is not sure who the boy on the far right is (possibly has a surname of ‘Chick’ or something similar) so anyone who can help please let us know.
Keith’s father George, mother Jean and his older brother Robert moved to live at 6 Pilton Quay Cottages in 1952 before he was born there in February 1954.. His family then left Pilton Quay in 1957 and moved to Rolle Street. There was no inside toilet, so they all had to access the lavatory via the back door. At the front there was a yard and piece of garden which was on the Reform Street side of the Cottage.

Many thanks to Keith for letting us have this fifth glimpse of life in Pilton in the 1950s.
