The photo is courtesy of Mark Elson, formerly of Pilton and an ex-head teacher himself, now living in Croyde. Mark's brother Jonathan (Jon) Elson is pictured second from the right in the top row. The school was at that time located next to St Mary's Church, with ten years to go before its move to Abbey Road.
