This photograph shows sailing barges moored on the River Yeo at Rolle Quay in around 1900. On the quay you can see the rail link from the Ilfracombe Railway (which ran along the north shore of the River Taw and opened in 1874) to the Rawle and Gammon Sawmill opposite the Rolle Quay Inn.
