Albert Linacre (centre, front) of Linacre's Pottery, 19 Pilton Street, celebrated his 80th birthday in The Reform Inn on 23 June 2010 with other members of the Pilton Green Man Festival Committee, from left to right: Martin Haddrill, Don Hearn, Helen Clark-Hayton, Susan O'Grady, Liz Eveleigh, Richard Stevens, Bev Neighbour and Tim Webster. Albert has run the Pottery for over 30 years and been closely involved in the Festival (and many other Pilton, Barnstaple and North Devon events) since it began in 1982 - especially the organisation, the parade and the making of costumes. No 19 Pilton Street was the Festival Office until 2012 when it moved to Pilton Stores to give Albert a well deserved rest.
