This photograph of the Barum Colts XV of 1955-56 has come to The Pilton Story. Given that the age of colts rugby is late teens, 16 - 19 years old, these young men will now be in their late 70s if they are still with us. We posted the picture on Facebook without any success, so we will take it up with Barnstaple Rugby Football Club and see if we have any success.
The secretary of BRFC, Alan White, was contacted by Derek Cull, and managed to supply the names of 11 of the 15 players in the photograph, they are, backrow from left to right, Colin Hill, ……..Offield, Bill Smith, Gordon Hunt, Tony Peace, ? , ? , ? Front row, left to right, Rodney Swales, Frank Yeaman, ……..Rowe, Kingsley Chugg, ?, Titch Hillman, Norman Denis.
