In 2008 Pilton Festival received a Community Council Grant of £1,200 from North Devon Councillors Brian Greenslade and Mair Manuel. At the time the Festival was run by Pilton Festival Limited, a not for profit company set up in 2006 by local residents. The grant allowed the purchase of equipment including a marquee and portable staging. Brian Greenslade said, "Pilton Festival is loved by locals and visitors alike; the community spirit is tremendous so we are delighted to help the hardworking festival team."
