At a May Fayre held at Pilton House on Saturday 13th May 1961, Jeremy Thorpe, MP for North Devon at the time, was apparently the guest of honour. In this photograph he is receiving a buttonhole from Miss Allsop of Pilton House. Miss Allsop may have been the Chair of the Trustees of the Barnstaple Old People's Housing Association (now the Pilton House Trust) at the time. If any one has any more information we would be very pleased.
