This photograph was uploaded on Facebook by Fiona Davis. It is a scene from the maypole dancing at the Annual May Fayre at Pilton House probably in 1966. The young girls in the foreground can be seen on other pictures with the May Queen (see link below). Fiona identified the two girls leading as Louise Pritchard (front left) and Dilys Madge (front right). Keith Laity has also identified some of the boys and girls. The boy on the far left is Jeremy Cole and the boy 4th from the left is Tony Davey. The girl to the right of Tony is Lindsay Norman and the boy next to her, biting his nails, is Stephen Webber. The boy on the far right is Philip Denning, the boy 3rd from the right is Philip Cobley and the tall girl on the inside of Phil is Rebecca Elson. Thanks to Keith for these names.
