At the Christmas Party of 1954, the residents of Pilton House dressed up for charades representing songs with Miss Sanders at the piano. The characters included Gladstone, Geisha Girl, Welsh Lady, Flower Seller, Gypsies, Uncle Sam, Lancashire Lass and Queen Victoria.
