This photograph of Pilton Park is thought to date from about 1905. It shows children and nannies in Edwardian dress - all wearing hats as we have noted before on photographs of this time. In the background can be see the bandstand which is no longer there and beyond it the houses of Fair View. The saplings along the path appear to be a mixture of trees - limes, horse chestnuts and maples - although a number have disappeared.
Thanks to Sylvia Mullen for this photograph from her family collection.
