In October 2008, the Rev Vernon Ross (seen here with his wife Francesca, Churchwardens Mark Crooks and Kate Hastings and Readers David Rushworth and Marion Sanders) left Pilton Church after 9 years as Rector of Barnstaple and moved to a parish in Essex.
