The Launch of Pilton Cinema in February 2012

The Launch of Pilton Cinema in February 2012 /media/flashcomm?action=mediaview&context=normal&id=203

Pilton Cinema brought to reality the idea of Pip Cartmell to have a Community Cinema in the Church Hall in the heart of Pilton. A grant from Awards for All towards the projector, plus contributions from the Big Pilton Quiz, the Discos and Bingo held in the Church Hall plus money from Pilton Church Hall Committee helped bring her idea to fruition in February 2012. The aim is to have a 'last Friday of the month' event with films of many different genres including comedy, drama, silent, thriller, musical, foreign language, horror and more. Pilton Church Hall can seat 120 people who will be able to watch a cinema quality projection in comfort. In addition to free refreshments, a post-film discussion is led by cinema expert Chris Bontein after each screening.
