For many years the brewery, Starkeys, operated the Windsor Arms in Bradiford. It was earlier part of Starkey Knight and Ford, based in Tiverton and with breweries in Bridgwater and Taunton and stores in Bideford as well as Barnstaple. It had a black horse emblem, seen in this picture.
