This archive item is based on the Super8 film, taken by the late Clifford Davies in 1982, of the very first Pilton Festival in Barnstaple, North Devon in the United Kingdom. In 2012 it had a new soundtrack - words and music - added by Ian Thomas, who was involved in the Festival organisation at the start and during the 1980s and was Deputy Head at Pilton Bluecoat School at that time. It also has footage and photographs of the 1982 Pilton Pageant and Curlicues by Cliff Twiggs. A further four minutes of material from Ian Thomas from the1984 and 1986 Festivals has been added at the end. The 1987 Easter Festival was organised with the help of The Horse and Bamboo Theatre.
