The Rotary Club of Barnstaple took the unprecedented step of awarding its annual Citizen of the Year Award posthumously to Hamish Patrick of Pilton, who died in December 2014. Hamish was a founding member of the annual popular Pilton Green Man Festival and was much loved by the people of Pilton and beyond. This cutting from the North Devon Journal of May 6th 2015 shows Gavin Patrick, Hamish's brother, being presented with the award by Rotarians Roger Ireland and Jeremy Lyons.
