As part of improvements carried out by North Devon Council in the first half of 2013, three information boards were erected in Rotary Gardens, Pilton, one at each corner, in July 2013. The Creation of Rotary Gardens board describes the work done to create a rest garden for the elderly to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Barnstaple Rotary Club in 1974. It was devised by the Rotary Club with help from The Pilton Story. It also refers to the current use of the gardens by Pilton Green Man Festival every third Saturday in July.

The second board gives 'A Brief History of Pilton' and the third board gives a Tree Trail around Rotary Gardens. They are also to be found in The Pilton Story Archive.
