Brian Norman, now of Braunton, tells how as a Pilton boy he'd spend some of his school holidays in the late 1940s sailing out of Pilton Quay with his grandfather, Captain George Coates, on voyages up the Bristol Channel and over to Wales. His memories were part of a reminiscence at the Reform Inn with old chums George Challacombe, Bobbie Furse and his cousin John Norman.
