In early 2009, Yvonne Gray of the St Mary's Bellringers died and a half-muffled peal was rung in memory of her on 22 February 2009.

This peal was recorded using the Church's own sound system with a wireless microphone in the churchyard. The sound quality is therefore not brilliant but it remains a fitting tribute to Yvonne.
