The January 2004 Pilton Panto ‘Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves’ was the 8th Pilton Panto of the modern era. This one was again presented in the skittle alley of the then Chichester Arms in Pilton Street, now the Green Man Bar & Bistro. The landlord at that time was Chris Hewitt.
Under the direction of Hamish Patrick, the Panto raised money for Pathfield School, Adult Gateway Club, the North Devon Hospice, Children’s Hospice South West, Chemotherapy Department of North Devon District Hospital, the Barnstaple Branch of National Missing Persons and Pilton Church Hall.
This document is the programme for the Panto which had a cast of twenty eight and a supporting crew (back stage and front of house) of another fifteen or so.
If you have stories to tell us about this Panto or can provide further information about it, please contact us through the website.
Many thanks to Ivy Grant who kept this programme over the years along with a number of videos of Pilton Pantos which will be posted in due course.
