Hilda Squire (right), the wife of Jack Squire, who was a Barnstaple butcher and a Pilton bellringer, and Victoria (Vicky) Blake (left), the wife of Bill Blake and mother of Gillian Blake, lived at numbers 49 and 50 The Rock, Pilton, respectively until they died in the early 2000s.
