Reconstruction of Rolle Street (Braunton) Bridge over the River Yeo around 1984

Reconstruction of Rolle Street (Braunton) Bridge over the River Yeo around 1984 /media/flashcomm?action=mediaview&context=normal&id=418
Description:

In around 1984, the old bridge over the River Yeo, on what is now the B3149 to Braunton, was demolished and rebuilt. This photograph shows the demolition work partly completed by E Thomas Construction Ltd, an Exeter-based Building Contractor. In the background can be seen the sheds of the old Lynton & Barnstaple Railway, and on the left the old buildings of The Rock Trading Co Ltd, Builders Merchants, which is part of the RGB Group. On the right is the old stone building on Brunswick Wharf.

Thanks to Kim Turner for this photograph.
