This small leaflet was produced by the Committee of the Pilton Green Man Festival in 2001 to encourage people to get involved as sponsors or as volunteers. As well as giving a brief history of the birth of the Festival in 1982, it explained the objectives - fun and fundraising - and the background to the Green Man. It also set out some of the skills needed - dressmaking, artistic genius, carpentry, organisational know-how, posters, and the like. Twelve years on from then, it has to be acknowledged that their appeal was successful as the Festival has gone from strength to strength since then.
In 2001 the Committee were Albert Linacre, Shaun Winfield, Ced Piper and Noel Harley.
